  • General Inquiries
Is it possible to predict the cards?
Absolutely not! Our server sends out information only on a need-to-know basis, which means that there is no way to predict any coming cards or the other players' cards. The cards are not calculated until the very moment before they are sent out, so there is no way to know them in-advance (because they don't even 'exist' in-advance). All sent information is also heavily encrypted.
Do your cards favour certain players?
Absolutely not! Our cards are checked and proven to be completely random and there is no reason why we would favour any player since you do not play poker against the house but other players!
How do I know your deal is random?
RedKings employs a Random Number Generator (RNG) to ensure that all deals are completely, totally random. But you don’t have to take our word for it. eCOGRA, an independent testing agency and player protection and standards organisation, reveiews all hands played on RedKings each month and issues a report on how random the deal is. All players can view updated reports in RedKings’s poker software. More information on eCOGRA can be found at www.ecogra.com.
Am I playing against real people or computer programs?
Poker is a game of skill played by real people against other real people. There is constant monitoring of the games to ensure it stays that way.
What is the minimum age limit to play at your site?
You have to be at least 18 years-old to play any of our games, real-money or play-money alike.
What poker games can I play at RedKings?
All your favourite poker games are at RedKings. Texas Hold'em, 7-card Stud ( Hi-Lo), Omaha ( also Hi-Lo ) and 5 Card Draw. We offer no limit, pot limit and fixed limit Cash Games as well as single and multi table tournaments...lots of Sit'n Go's as well.
  • Poker Tournaments
How long does a tournament last?
That depends on what kind of tournament it is. Expect single table Sit & Go tournaments to take about an hour. Multi-table tournaments may take several hours.
What does it cost to play a tournament?
Every tournament has a specific buy-in. In a €10+1 tournament for example the cost to play would be €11. €10 goes to the prize pool and €1 is the fee for entering the tournament. Tournament buy-ins range from free freerolls to over a hundred €s.
    What is a multi-table tournament?
A multi-table tournament (MTT) is a game that starts at a pre-determined time and runs until one person has all the chips. In some MTTs, you buy in once and don’t need to buy in again. In others, you can choose to purchase more chips throughout the tournament. These additional purchase options are called re-buys and add-ons.
What makes a guaranteed tournament ‘guaranteed’?
A guaranteed tournament is a multi-table tournament (MTT) with a guaranteed prize amount. This is different from a regular MTT, in which the prize amount is the total of buy-ins collected from players.
What is the difference between a sit ‘n’ go and a multi-table tournament?
A sit ‘n’ go tournament (SnG) has a pre-determined number of players, and it starts whenever all those players have taken seats.
A multi-table tournament (MTT) has a pre-determined start time, and it can have any number of players.
For example, a 6-seat Turbo SnG starts once six players buy in. A 6pm €1000 Guaranteed Tournament (which is an MTT) starts exactly at 6pm, regardless of whether there are 5 or 5000 registered players.
Both SnGs and MTTs end once one person has all the chips. More than one person win prizes, of course – generally between 10% and 20% of the players win something.
    What is a Freeroll?
A freeroll is a multi table tournament that is free to enter where you can win cash prizes.
    When are the big tournaments?
You'll find a weekly calendar for all the tournaments in the tournament section of the RedKings website! From the schedule you can go to the individual tournaments own page. There you register and find information on buy-in and prize money.
  • Cash games
    What is a cash game?
A cash game is a poker type in which players sit down with cash and leave whenever they like.
    What is the rake?
Rake is the house fee charged on cash games. A small percentage of each pot is taken by the house to cover the development and management of the software.
What poker variants do you have?
We have Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 5 Card Stud, 5 Card Draw, Razz and Blaze Poker (our fast-fold poker variant).
  • Software
Can I play on RedKings on my Mac?
Yes! But not using the main downloadable poker software. We have a downloadable Mac-compatible software version, and also a Flash version, that are offered through some, but not all, poker rooms. If you cannot find a link to the downloadable or Flash Mac software versions on your poker room’s website, ask their customer support where you can access it.
Why is the game sometimes slow?
You could be suffering from internet lag that is often caused by poor connection between your ISP and our server. That is something beyond our control but your own connection is often improved upon if you close out other bandwidth-consuming applications such as internet browsers, file sharing programs, chat programs etc.
  • Loyalty Points
Where can I see my Loyalty Points?
When you log in to the Casino we will send you a message with your current Loyalty Points balance. To check your loyalty details, click the Enter Loyalty program icon on the top right corner of the Casino lobby.
What is the difference between Tier Loyalty Points and Bonus Loyalty Points?
Your Loyalty Points balance is made up of Tier and Bonus Loyalty Points. When you play for real money, you earn Tier Loyalty Points. Extra Loyalty Points earned from Specials and Tier Bonuses are Bonus Loyalty Points. Only Tier Loyalty Points contribute to upgrading you to the next Loyalty Tier. However, Tier and Bonus Loyalty Points have the same value when you redeem them.
What can I do with my Loyalty Points?
Loyalty Points are used to set your loyalty level, to redeem cash, to enter into tournaments and in many of our monthly promotions and bonuses.
Why can I not always redeem all my Loyalty Points?
You have to have a minimum amount of 30 Loyalty Points to redeem. Please make sure that you have accumulated at least 30 Loyalty Points before attempting to redeem them. You can only redeem in multiples of 30 Loyalty Points. For example, if you had 40 Loyalty Points you would only be able to redeem 30 Loyalty Points. The remaining 10 Loyalty Points remain in your Loyalty account.
How do I know when my Loyalty Points will be expiring?
If you have Loyalty Points that will expire within the next 180 days, a warning similar to the one shown here, is displayed just below your Loyalty Points Balance on the Redeem Points page.
  • RedKings Rake Structure
Our structure is 5% rake, but with a cap that varies depending on the number of players dealt in and the stakes being played.
    5+ Players Dealt In:
    Blinds Cap
    €0.01 / €0.02 0.06
    €0.02 / €0.04 0.12
    €0.05 / €0.10 0.3
    €0.10 / €0.20 0.6
    €0.25 / €0.50 1.5
    €0.50 / €1 and higher 3
    3-4 Players Dealt In:
    Blinds Cap
    €0.01 / €0.02 0.04
    €0.02 / €0.04 0.08
    €0.05 / €0.10 0.2
    €0.10 / €0.20 0.4
    €0.25 / €0.50 1
    €0.50 / €1 2
    €1 / €2 and higher 3
    2 Players Dealt In:
    Blinds Cap
    €0.01 / €0.02 0.02
    €0.02 / €0.04 0.04
    €0.05 / €0.10 0.1
    €0.10 / €0.20 0.2
    €0.25 / €0.50 0.5
    €0.50 / €1 1
    €1 / €2 and higher 2
Note: No rake is taken if a hand does not see a flop. Our system collects €0.01 in rake for every €0.20 in the pot*. This means that for a pot of €0.39 only €0.01 is collected in rake. This ‘rounding down’ means that the effective rake rate will be less than 5%, significantly so for some pots. *€0.01 in rake is taken in pots that reach €0.05 when 3+ players are dealt in.
  • Achievements
    What are Achievements?
Achievements are recognition of your online poker accomplishments. Master Achievements and earn badges through skill, perseverance or just dumb luck.
The number of badges you earn is a measure of how awesome you are at online poker.
What is the difference between an Achievement, a badge, a task and a Pip?
Each Achievement is made up of tasks for you to complete, and the difficulty of each task is measured in Pips. Once you have completed all the tasks in an Achievement, you have mastered that Achievement and you earn a badge.
For example, the Achievement called Training Wheels has a badge with a tricycle on it. You master this Achievement and earn the badge when you have completed all four tasks. The total Pips for all four tasks are only 25, as this is an easy Achievement.
You can see all your earned badges in the Completed tab in My Achievements.
    What are Pips?
Pips are what we use to score the difficulty of the tasks. A task that is very difficult to complete has a higher Pips value than an easy task. To earn a badge, you must complete tasks to collect enough Pips to master that Achievement.
Most Achievements can only be mastered when all tasks have been completed and all Pips collected, but from time to time we may have Achievements that have more Pips available than are required to earn the badge, which gives you the freedom to choose which tasks in an Achievement to complete.
How can I compare my awesomeness to other players?
Click another player's badge on the table to see how many Achievements they have. Compare this to your badge count and get playing if they are more awesome than you!
Can I hide my Achievements from other players?
Yes! To do this, click the Privacy button at the bottom of the page.
If you choose Privacy, you will continue to complete tasks and earn badges, but you will not receive any notifications of your progress. You will not lose any badges when Privacy is turned on. Turn off the Privacy setting to turn the notifications back on.
Can other players see my badges?
Other players can only see the badge that you have displayed by your avatar. They can also see the number of badges you have earned by clicking your badge, but they cannot see what individual badges you have earned.
Do I have to deposit money to earn Achievements?
No! Some Achievements are available for players who are playing poker with play money chips. These Achievements will earn you a badge, but they have no associated Pips.
What happens to my play money Achievements if I start playing with real money?
Once you take the plunge and join us in the exciting arena of real money poker, we will hide the play money Achievements. You will keep any play money badges you fully earned, but any play money Achievements not started or completed will not be available anymore.
What you get in return is a wider variety of challenges and tasks than was available in the play money Achievements.
How many badges can I show on the table?
While we want your friends to be a little jealous, we don't want to overwhelm everyone at the table with how awesome you are. For this reason we can only allow a single badge on the table.
I have completed a task but no badge is displayed on the table. Why?
Does the Achievement that you are playing have more than one task? If so, you must complete all tasks for the Achievement to earn the badge.
How can I track the number of Pips I have and how many I still need to master an Achievement?
The total number of Pips you have collected is displayed at the top of the My Achievements page, and this is updated as you complete each task.
This page also shows information for each Achievement. This includes the total number of Pips required, the number of Pips you have collected so far and your overall completion of the Achievement.
How do I know what to do so I can earn more badges?
You can click on the Achievement in the My Achievements page, which will drop down a list of tasks. Each task has a description which shows you what you need to do in order to complete that task.
